Tedd “T.J.” Johnson, 66, died Monday, May 28, 2012 at his home in Fort Morgan.
He was born July 14, 1945 in Greenville, South Carolina to T.J. and Brunell Johnson.
Mr. Johnson held several jobs during his working career. He worked as a truck driver, a pilot and as a deputy sheriff, to name a few.
Mr. Johnson had a collection of guns that he liked to take to the range and fire and in his younger years he enjoyed drag racing. He had a rail dragster and a funny car that he raced. T.J. was also the chaplain for Racers for Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Taylor Johnson and Tanner Johnson both of Lake Charles, Louisiana and one granddaughter.
T.J. was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Johnson.
A private memorial service will be held later in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
The Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
