Abbigail Leigh Salberg, 3, of Evans, Colorado was born Friday, July 27, 2007 and entered Heaven as a peaceful angel on Friday, November 19, 2010. Abbie was on the constant go... from the time she attempted to be born feet first, to her "mowglie" crawl...from running instead of walking, to jumping and dancing all the time. As she grew, Abbie was enthusiastic about learning. She loved to read, sing her ABC's and silly songs, and would mimic every animal she saw. She would be outside, with her daddy at every opportunity; throwing rocks, playing soccer and volleyball, riding bikes, driving her "alligator", swinging, playing in her sandbox,sledding, and jumping on her trampoline. She liked to go shopping at the "red" and "blue" stores with her mommy, and would dance at any occasion. She was very excited to become a big sister this past summer, and was a good help with anything Kate needed. Abbie loved her sister and helped calm and entertain her. When Kate would cry, she would try to pick her up, "get in her face", hand her toys, anything to stop Kate from crying. Abbie had a gentle and generous heart. You couldn't help but smile when Abbie was in the room. She was currently enrolled at Trinity Lutheran School in the 3-year old Preschool Class and was baptized a few days before her death. Abbie is survived by her parents, Jay and Angela Salberg and sister Kathrynn Allison Salberg, all of Evans. Her Grandparents: Gene and Roma Brandau of Lindon and Ken and Terry Salberg of Ault. Great Grandparents: Bud Brandau of Apache Junction, AZ, Phyllis Salberg of Ault, Larry and Lyle Knight of Vernal, UT, and Blaine and Mary Mahana of Greeley. Her Aunts and Uncles: Rebecca Brandau of Leadville, Kenny Salberg of Ault, Janelle Salberg of Greeley, Matt and Audrey Salberg of Fort Collins, Deborah and Israel Navarro of Pierce, and Jessica and Jerome Brug of Greeley. Her first cousins, Mikaelee, Bryce, Shane, Trenton, Kallie, Trinity, Rayelle and Owen and numerous extended family and cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her Great Grandparents: Ray and Freida Schutte, Pauline Brandau, Connie Mahana and John Alan Salberg. A memorial service will be Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley, CO.
