Adelbert Kumke, 66, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Friday, December 3, 2010, at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born December 22, 1943, in Brush, to Arvis & Bonnie Kumke. Adelbert graduated from Snyder High School in 1961. After graduation, he joined the US Marine Corp where he served until his honorable discharge in 1965. Adelbert married Karen Bridgewater on January 29, 1970 in Snyder. Prior to ill health forcing his retirement, Adelbert worked as an electrician. He was an avid Denver Bronco fan and he enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley music. Survivors include his wife, Karen of Fort Morgan; his Mother, Bonnie Trout of Snyder; 4 children, Kim Christensen of Westminster, CO, Michele Shull and Tracy Kumke both of Fort Morgan; and Carla Geringer of Norton, KS; 2 brothers, Roger Kumke of Brush and Myron Kumke of Arizona; 1 sister, Roberta Janzen of Snyder; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Father. At Adelbert's request, no service will be held. Cremation arrangement are entrusted to the Heer & Dahl Mortuary & Crematory.
