Agnes Grace Frost, 99, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012, at her home near Wiggins. She was born March 10, 1912, to Ira & Mabel Mendenhall in Esbon, KS. The family moved to Eckley, CO in 1919. In 1924, the Mendenhall's moved to a farm northwest of Fort Morgan. Agnes attended Fort Morgan schools. In 1927, the family moved to a farm south of Fort Morgan. In 1929 Agnes married Harold Frost. They farmed and ranched south of Fort Morgan until 1964 when they moved south of Wiggins and continued to farm and raise dairy cows. Agnes milked cows and sold cream until 2004. She continued living on the family farm until her death. Agnes took in several kids to help them get ahead in life. She especially enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for her family, sewing and the frequent visits from grandkids, great grandkids and great–great grandkids. Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Walker of Wiggins; granddaughters, Waynette (Clinton) Molloy of Sydney, MT, April Winters of Wiggins; her grandsons & their wives, Leroy & Vernetta Frost of Mountain View, MO, Loren & Tina Walker of Fort Morgan, Leland Walker, Lane & Tammy Walker, Landre & Jodi Walker, all of Wiggins; 21 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; 2 sons, Leland & Wayne Frost; her parents; 1 brother, Glen Mendenhall; and 3 sisters, Olive Frost, Illa Geyer, and Hazel Cowell. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 11, at 11:00 AM at Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan.
