Albert Clinton Schlegel Sr, 62, was born May 4th,1960 to Flora and Bert Schlegel of Fort Morgan Colo. Albert suddenly passed away on May 1st, 2023 in his sleep. Albert was born and raised in Fort Morgan Colo.

Albert is survived by his oldest son, Albert Clinton Schlegel Jr (wife Megan Schlegel Powell) of Fort Morgan Colo; youngest son, Bryan Schlegel of Fort Morgan Colo and a stepdaughter, he'd considered his own, Brittany Cook (Jeremiah Bullock) of Fountain Florida; five grandchildren; three Brothers, Gene Schlegel, Dean Schlegel, Clifford Schlegel and one sister, Lena Hernandez and several nieces and nephews all over the Colo area.

Albert is preceded in death by his mother, Flora and Father Bert and two brothers, Stevie Lee and Bert Dwayne.

Albert worked for the City of Fort Morgan. He worked in the Street Department as a Laborer from 1980 until 2019.

Albert served in the Army National Guard from March 27th,1978 to September 18, 1983. He began his service at Fort Gordon, Georgia. After his basic training, he returned to Colorado where he was promoted to Sgt and was Full Active Duty and received an outstanding Soldier Battlestar. Albert was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard on September 18, 1983.

Albert was well known in the community of Fort Morgan and loved living the country life. As we would say he was a country boy who would lend a hand if he saw you on the side of the road. Most of all, Albert loved his Family. He didn't show it all the time, but you knew he loved you. Albert was a goofball but wanted nothing but the best for his family.

Albert loved nature and especially loved Eagles, which he collected as figures. Like many fans, Albert LOVED LOVED the Denver Broncos even in the Losing Season, which he showed his faithfulness every time they played.

The memorial service will be held at Platte Valley Baptist Church. Date and time to be determined and will be announced. along with Military Honors. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Platte Valley Baptist Church in Fort Morgan. His family will be present to welcome loved ones.
