Alberta Briscoe Kauffman, 73, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Ft. Morgan. She was born September 18, 1939 to Albert and Hazel (Francis) Myers in Snyder, CO. Alberta enjoyed cooking and sharing her time with family and friends. In her spare time she loved to read books, the bible being her favorite, and do word search and fill in books. She is survived by her sisters, Beulah Rogers (Herb), and Ila Meredith (Hal), brothers, Jack Myers (Marilyn), and Jerry Myers (Arlene), daughters, Daisy Anderson (Lucky), Rita Riley (John), and Lana Martinez (Aaron), grandchildren, Misty Bankston (Josh), Jay Riley (Lara), Luanna Riley, Lars Martinez, Marria C.K. Quinn, Tara Martinez, Guideon Quinn, and Nicoyia Martinez, and great grandchildren, Phillip, LaSawn, Angelina, Charley, Leo, and Lieve. Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jewel and her sister Viola. Memorial Services will be Friday, April 12, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Life Fellowship in Ft. Morgan. Interment will be at 11:00 AM on Friday. The Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
