ALEXA NICOLE GARCIA, 20, of Brush, died Thursday morning, April 10, 2008 from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident on Interstate 76 east of Brush. She was born November 29, 1987 in Iowa City, IA to Arnoldo & Veronica (Garcia) Maltos. She attended Brush Schools and graduated from Brush High School with the class of 2006. At the time of her death, Miss. Garcia was working for Ehrlich Motors in Sterling. Miss. Garcia was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. She enjoyed listening to music, spending time with her daughter, and watching her younger brothers play baseball. She is survived by her parents, Arnoldo & Veronica Maltos; her daughter, Brisa Aguirre-Garcia; three brothers, Arturo Maltos-Garcia, Arnoldo Maltos-Garcia, and Alejandro Maltos-Garcia, all of Brush; and her grandparents of Mexico. Visitation will be Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 2 – 5 PM at the Heer Mortuary in Brush. Recitation of the Rosary will follow at 6:00 PM on Sunday at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 14th at 1:00 PM, also at Saint Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Brush Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Miss. Garcia's name to the Heer Mortuary, 222 Cameron St., Brush, CO 80723. The funds will be put in savings for her daughter. The Heer Mortuary in Brush is in charge of arrangements.
