Alexis Feliberto Cano, 34, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017, in Sterling, CO. He was born September 30, 1982, in Fort Morgan to J. Carmen Cano & Ilda San Miguel.

Alexis worked many years as a lead man and foreman in the oil field. He recently was promoted at his job while also working at Timmerman Feed Lot. He currently was working on getting his GED.

Alexis attended the Freedom Outreach Church in Sterling. He enjoyed watching and cheering for the Denver Broncos. He also liked to participate in many different sporting activities, listening to music and family cookouts where cooking was his specialty.   Alexis' children were his everything. He was always engaged in outside sports with this kids, other family members and friends. Alexis will be remembered for his sense of humor , being a practical jokester and his beautiful smile that would light up a room with cheer.

Survivors include his parents J. Carman Cano & Ilda San Miguel; his children, Belinda, Jasmyn, Alexis Jr., and Brissa; and his siblings, J. Carmen Cano Jr., Dehilia Cano, Eliza Cano, Jonathan Cano, & Melissa Cano. Alexis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Magdaleno & Elisa San Miguel, Pedro Cano & Micaela Medel; and his cousins, Michael A. Aguirre and Bernadino Cano.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the Fort Morgan Life Fellowship with Pastor Shannon Munday officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. The Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
