Alice Lorraine (Baker) Behr, 89, peacefully passed away October 23, 2021 at home in Guthrie, OK. She was born October 19, 1932 in Cheyenne County, KS to Clayton and Sadie Baker, the youngest of 10 children. Alice attended school in St. Francis, KS through her junior year. The family then moved to Woodrow CO, where Alice graduated from high school in 1950.
On January 28, 1951, Alice married Ralph E. Behr. They lived in the Last Chance, CO community and raised four children, Ed, Raeleen, Bruce and Brad. Ralph and Alice farmed and ranched together until Ralph's death in 1998. Alice remained on the farm until 2011, when she moved to Aurora, CO. In October 2020, Alice moved to Guthrie, OK.
During her life, Alice was involved in various community organizations. She supported her children and grandchildren in all of their school and extracurricular activities including sports and 4-H. Alice loved music and played the piano and accordion by ear. She also enjoyed working outside and spent much time in her yard and vegetable/flower gardens. Most of all, she loved being with her family.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Raeleen and Jim Lockard of Guthrie, OK; son Bruce of Parker, CO; son Brad of Guthrie, OK; grandchildren Aaron and K.C. Behr, of Brooklyn, NY; Erica and Alex Urosevich of Colorado Springs, CO; Chris and Amber Jamieson of Haslet, TX;
Travis and Elizabeth Jamieson of Gainsville, TX; Scott Jamieson of Littleton, CO; great grandchildren: Arlo and Ellis Behr; Lana and Mila Urosevich; Emma Jamieson; Delilah and Rhett Jamieson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Alice in death were her husband, Ralph, son, Ed, both parents, five brothers, Arvid, Clarence, Lindy, Ledrew and Eldon and four sisters, Eveline, Harriett, Ruby and Vera.
Memorial Services will be held Nov 6th at 2:30 at the Heer Mortuary, 222 Cameron St, Brush, CO. Inurnment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
