Allece Ann (Merwarth) Tate was called to her Heavenly Home November 28, 2018 from Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush, Colorado, where she had resided since January 2015.

Allece was born to Russell Raymond and Myrtle Bernice (Collins) Merwarth on February 20, 1932 in Parsons, Kansas.  Allece grew up with her parents and older brother Charles.  She enjoyed her friends and participated in her church, school activities, and Job's Daughters.  She graduated from Parsons High School in 1950 and from Labette County Junior College in 1952.  She married Jobe Douglas (Doug) Tate on May 31, 1951.

To this union was born their daughter Jolece Ann and son, Mark Douglas.  Their family moved to Medicine Lodge from Coffeyville, Kansas in 1961.  Medicine Lodge would become home for over 50 years.

Allece was a devoted, caring, loving and wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  The apples of her eye were her four grandchildren, Traci, Hilary, Drew and Tara.  Lots of memories making sugar cookies, mud pies, dress-up, playing games, porch swing conversations, and fishing.  Allece worked at the 1 ^st National Bank of Medicine Lodge in bookkeeping and later in the Installment Loan Department; otherwise, she was a housewife and stay-at-home mother.

After retirement, Doug and Allece enjoyed ten years of traveling throughout the United States and Canada, with many stops to check on the grandkids.  Allece enjoyed her morning walk around the lake with friends and feeding the ducks.  She was a Pink Lady at the Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital and a member and held various levels of responsibility in Monday Afternoon Club, the First Presbyterian Church, and Leisure Time Center.  She was a true friend to all and had the gift of listening.  Her strong Christian faith was apparent in all facets of her life.

Allece was predeceased by her parents and in-laws; Husband in 2004, Brother, Charles Wayne Merwarth in 2000, Brother-in-Law Milburn High in 2002, Sister-in-Law Evelyn (Tate) High in 2007 and Niece Elaine High in 2018.  She is survived by her Daughter Jolece (Al) of Brush, Colorado, Granddaughters Traci of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Tara (Jared) and great grandchildren Wyatt & Sadie of Brush, Colorado; Her Son Mark (Naomi) of Austin, Texas, granddaughter Hilary (BJ), great granddaughters Olivia & Kate of The Woodlands, Texas, Grandson Drew (Lauren), great granddaughters Claire & Ella of Austin, Texas; Sister-in-Law Margaret Merwarth of Farmersville, Texas and Nephews Martin (Dianne) High and Greg High and their families.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Medicine Lodge, Leisure Time Center of Medicine Lodge, Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center of Brush (Sommerlyst Neighborhood), or All Saints Lutheran Church of Brush, Colorado.  Heer Mortuary in Brush is in charge of the cremation arrangements.  Her ashes will be buried beside Doug after graveside services at the Medicine Lodge Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
