Allen Eugene Curtis, 53, life resident of North Eastern Colorado, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. He was born July 18, 1960, in Sterling, CO, to Robert and Barbara Curtis. Allen graduated from High School and worked in the oil fields as a rough neck. On June 17, 1991, he married Sherry Bassett in Fort Morgan, CO. Allen was a member of Four Square Church in Sterling. He loved spending time at the I-76 Raceway in Fort Morgan. Allen was a collector of many collectable items. He cherished his family. Survivors include his wife Sherry Curtis, his parents Raymond and Barbara Griess, brother Michael Curtis, and 2 sisters Lisa Dodge and Lori Godek. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Curtis, grandparents Francis and Mable Bigg, nephew Christopher Curtis, and father-in-law Charles Basset.
