Alvina L. Lake, 73, life resident of Northeastern Colorado, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center following a short illness.  She was born March 16, 1945 in Akron, CO, to Harold & Lottie Chabot.

Alvina graduated from Snyder High School in 1963.  She married Etson Lake on November 18, 1989, in Casper, WY.  Following Etson's death in 1998, Alvina worked at the Farmers State Bank in Brush prior to retiring.

Alvina was a member of the Willard United Methodist Church, Snyder Home Builders and helped at the Snyder Meet 'n Eat program.  She was a recipient of the "Angels Among Us" award in 2011.   She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Surviving family includes her 3 sons, Mike Skraback of Fort Morgan, Dan Skraback and Jeff Skraback both of Snyder, CO; 4 sisters, Ila (Ed) Rusch of Castle Rock, CO, Marvella (Dennis) Teter of Brush, Glenna (Dennis) Overmiller of Smith Center, KS, and Ina (Dewayne) Dimmick of Sevierville, TN; 2 brothers, Carroll (Linda) Chabot of Yuma, CO and Bob (Robin) Chabot of Oklahoma; 2 sisters in law, Karen Chabot of Snyder and Manoli Crawford of Greeley; and 4 grandchildren, Samantha, Kayla, Brittney, and Steven; and 6 great grandchildren, Aubrey, Tenley, Bexley, Maliek, Auhmari, and Drayson; and several nieces & nephews  She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter-in-law, Dalrie Skraback; 3 brothers, Ivan, Delton and Dennis; and her parents.

Funeral services will be at the Brush United Methodist Church on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Monday, Oct 29, from 5 – 7 PM.  The Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
