Obituary

Amy Janine Haselgren left her earthly body to be with the Lord on January 24, 2023. Amy was born on November 28, 1969 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She grew up in Littleton, Colorado, graduating from Heritage High School in 1988. She went on to graduate from The University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelors in Biology with an emphasis in Teaching. After college, she dedicated her professional life to a 25 year teaching career. Aside from teaching, she enjoyed wood working, exploring nature, photography and farming. After her teaching career, she semi-retired and was a part time dirt-farmer and diligently cared for her parents until their passing.

Amy was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, friend, and mentor. She had a passion for caring for those around her. Her heart and door were always open. She would never hesitate to lend a hand or lend an ear to those who needed it. Anyone who knew her knew they had a lifelong friend and "mom" in her.

You could always find her and her dog Ruger cruising a farm road taking pictures of the beautiful sunsets and scenery. In any spare moment, she was with her kids Gabriel, Madison, and Dan. Her bond and love of her kids was unmatched.

Amy's love and Grace lives on in her kids - Gabriel Schlueter, and Madison and Dan Whichelo; her dog Ruger; her best friend, Keith Bath; and every one of her family members and friends. We are all blessed to have gotten the opportunity to have known her. Amy is gone, but she will never be forgotten. She touched so many lives and there is a piece of her in every one of them.
