Amy Lee Ledford passed away surrounded by her children, April 11, 2024. She was born to William Arlis and Inez Montgomery Youngblood in Galena Kansas on August 13, 1941. Amy grew up in Kansas, moved to Fort Morgan and graduated high school in 1959. In June 1959 she married the love of her life, Gordon Ledford. They were married 63 years and raised three children together.

Amy worked for several businesses in the community until she bought her own business, Waterfort Waterbeds, which she owned and operated for 21 years.

Amy enjoyed reading, bowling, sewing, dancing, and above all, spending time with family and friends. Amy was a fun loving, joyful person who always knew everything would work out. She loved to dress in costumes for Halloween, and she baked the best chocolate chip cookies in the world! Amy had a passion and expertise for decorating and designing her home. She always had a smile and time for conversations with friends and neighbors. When they retired, Amy and Gordon traveled to numerous softball tournaments across the country. She spent hours playing with her grandkids, and they loved her dearly.

Amy is survived by her three children, Suzanna (Doug) Dobbins, Bryan (Desiree) Ledford, and Dianna (Tim) Jones; grandchildren, Patrick (Bessy) Ledford, Kyle (Stephanie) Ledford, Daniel (Anna) Olsen, Timothy Garrett, and Jennesee Ledford; great-grandchildren, Joelly, Emma, Huxton, Winston, Riggston, and Madeleine; sister, Phyllis; brother in laws, Lester (Ruth) Ledford, and Steve (Barbara Ledford); along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Ledford; her mother, Inez Youngblood and father, William Youngblood; her father and mother-in-law, Orbra and Dorothy Ledford; and her great grandson, Wyatt Ledford.

Services will be held Tuesday April 30, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Platte Valley Baptist Church, Fort Morgan, CO.
