Andrea Trujillo, 92, longtime Brush resident, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at her home. She was born April 15, 1915, in Mora, NM to Placido & Amalia Montoya. Andrea married Dan Trujillo in May, 1938. The Trujillo family has lived in the Brush since 1942. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and quilting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Placido Romero , and his wife, Juanita, Anthony Trujillo, and his wife, Rosi, , and Mary Lou Trujillo-Flores, and her husband, Tom, all of Brush; Steve Romero, and his wife, Marie, of Colorado Springs, Raynaldo Trujillo, and his wife, Cheryl, of Lakewood, Dan Trujillo, and his wife, Bea, of Papillion, NE, Rosie Salinas of Elizabeth, CO, and Helen Romero of Aurora, CO; 4 brothers, Victor Montoya of Longmont, CO, Eloy Montoya of California, Louie Montoya and Johnny Montoya both of Platteville, CO; 4 sisters, Delma Rodriguez of Santa Barbara, CA, Emma Lerma of Whittier, CA, Josie Semmler of Lakewood, CO, and Ernestine Rodriguez of Denver; 30 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and 2 great – great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers, Bennie, Conrad, and Frank, and her parents. Rosary service will be Sunday at 6:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 31, 2008, at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Church. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. The Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the arrangements. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Hospice & Palliative Care of North Colorado in Fort Morgan.
