Ann M. Deditz, 56, longtime Morgan County resident, passed away in the emergency room of Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan on Thursday, September 11, 2014. She was born August 20, 1958, at St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, CO to George & Eleanor Kyncl. Ann graduated from FMHS in 1976. She worked for the Xerox Corporation when she met her future husband, Peter Deditz. Ann & Peter married on April 19, 1980, in Naperville, IL. They later moved to Fort Morgan where they lived and raised their family. Ann was a strong advocate of education, both for herself and her family. She received her AA from Morgan Community College and later BS at the University of Northern Colorado. Ann loved music - both singing and playing her guitar. She sang with several choral groups in Morgan County, including the Morgan Choral, Singers Unlimited, and the Kings Choir. Ann was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Peter; 2 daughters, Elizabeth Jarrell, and her husband John, of Brush and Katy Deditz of Fort Morgan; her parents, George & Eleanor Kyncl of Fort Morgan; 2 brothers, Russell Kyncl of Wheatridge, CO and David Kyncl of Norman, OK; and 2 grandchildren, Chloe and Logan Jarrell. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, September 17, at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic church. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Tuesday from 4 - 6 PM. A rosary will be recited at 6 PM at the Mortuary following the visitation. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
