Ann, lifelong Morgan County resident passed away at Fair Acres Manor in Greeley Colorado Sunday December 16 ^th .

Ann was born December 5 ^th , 1948 to George and Elaine Barker in Brush Colorado.

After graduating High School in Fort Morgan, she attended NJC in Sterling and later Barnes Business College in Denver. She Worked as a waitress at Stroh's Inn and The Fort Morgan Country Club for several years. She also Took care of the nursery during Sunday services at the Methodist Church in Fort Morgan as well as the Bowling alley. Ann began Business Office classes at Morgan Community College in 1999. She earned her Office Support Specialist Certificate from Morgan Community College on May 18 ^th , 2002. In September 2000 she began her career in Instructional Support for the Adult Basic Education program. She continued in this position until her retirement in 2017. Over the course of the 17 years, Ann assisted over 10,000 adult students in pursuit of higher education and career goals. She will be missed and remembered for her welcoming smile and encouragement to students and staff.

Ann enjoyed camping, hunting, gardening, enthusiastically cheering on her favorite hockey team, the Colorado Avalanche, crafts and most of all spending time with her family.

Survivors include, her son Richard Trout of Brush, Missy Trout of Brush, Jerry Hodge of Hillrose, her Brother Doug Barker of Fort Morgan, Grandchildren, Brittinay Call of Brush, Katie and Dennis McGrath of Westminster, Kaitlyn Call of Akron, Kiefer and Lindsey Olson of Brush, Cody Hodge of Hillrose, Jonathan Trout of Brush, Dylan and Ali Olson of Brush, Daniel and Catie Hodge of Pittsburg, Elizabeth and Keith Gallegos of Colorado Springs, Taiton Trout of Brush, Torie Trout of Fort Morgan, James Hodge of Hillrose, Julie Glover of Virginia, Calista Robertus of North Platte and 5 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by both parents George and Elaine Barker, Her daughter Catherine Trout, daughter Angela Hilliard, grandparents Mabel and Harry Livingston and her granddaughter Kiaera Trout.

There will be a visitation on Thursday December 20 ^th ,2018 from 4 until 6 pm at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan.

Funeral services will be Saturday December 22, 2018 at 10 am at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan.

Friends who wish may make memorial gifts in Ann's name in care of Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Heer Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
