Anna Marie (Thiel) Becker, 87, joined her heavenly Father on Sunday, April 19, 2009. She was born September 16, 1921, in Melbeta, Nebraska. In 1935 the Thiel family moved to Morgan County. Anna married Jacob Becker on June 30, 1940. Anna enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing cards and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Wherever she went she made lifelong friends. She loved to visit and was a caring and loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Anna was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fellowship Society and Hoyt Home Circle Club. Survivors include her 5 children, Kenneth (Carol) Becker; Sandra (Robert) Baker, Barbara (Jerry) Bass, Daniel (Cheryl) Becker, and Randall (Elesa) Becker; 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Henry Thiel Jr., Frieda Chiara, Mariam Rasmussen, Priscilla Glasco and Gloria Thiel all of Fort Morgan, Ruth Glanz and Paul Thiel both of California, Jeanette Hohnstein of Alaska, Florence Uhrmacher of Nebraska; Sisters-in-law, Loma Faye Becker and Helen Marotte both of Texas, and Naomi Thiel of Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob, son, Ronald, parents, Henry & Anna Thiel Sr., sister, Lillian Miller, and brother, Jake Thiel. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 24, 2009, at 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Sherman Street in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Brush on Thursday from 2 – 5 PM. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Trinity Lutheran Church or School.
