Anna Mae Bothwell departed this earthly world on the evening of Saturday, July 3, 2021.  Anna met her angel escorts at Reflections Memory Care at Meadowview in Greeley, Colorado.  Anna's three children and their spouses are grateful for the little bit of time we had to say one last "thank you" and one more "I love you". We wept. We prayed, we waved good-by, and then we left her room. Less than an hour later, Anna must have felt assured her children would be okay here on Earth, so she reached for the arms of the angles who had been waiting nearby all day.  The angles gathered Anna in a sweet embrace and swiftly guided her from this earth to her new home in the Promised Land. We are certain Anna's angels led her straight to the far side banks of Jordan, where her beloved Keith has been waiting for her since April 30, 2014.

Anna was born at home on March 8, 1937, in Bennett Colorado, to James Logan and Lola Charlotte Perkins. Anna joined six older siblings: Louise, Ralph, Fern, Walt, Clyde, and Harold.  Three more siblings joined the Perkins family over the he next few years: Glen, Jim, and Lola.  The Perkins family formed a unique bond through shared experiences, hard work, stern discipline, and abiding love.

Anna married her high-school sweetheart, Keith Thomas Bothwell on July 14, 1955.  They had three children, Keith Randall, Connie Sue, and Kevin Wade.

When Kevin started school, Anna began working outside the home—which must have felt a bit like a vacation to her. After a few short-term jobs, Anna found her niche at the Morgan County Department of Social Services, Child Support and Investigation Unit, and thus began a 30+ year career with Morgan County where she retired as the Administrator for the Child Support and Investigation Unit in 1998.  Anna was well recognized as an expert in her field and frequently honored for the success of the unit and for the money the unit saved the county.  Anna was always quick to give her staff credit for the success of the unit.

Anna and Keith took immense joy in spending time with their grandchildren, Jamie Lynne, Bo Allen, Brian J., Bailey Ann, Kellen Lee, and Kelsey Lyn.

In 1998, Anna and Keith were both retired, and they moved to Nampa, Idaho.  In Idaho, Anna and Keith became great grandparents, and relished the time they spent with "the Idaho Greats" -- Isaac, Tailor, Jaxon, Brady, Charlie, Lucas, and Piper.  Other great-grandchildren arrived in Colorado and Utah, but time had made traveling any real distance difficult, Anna and Keith didn't often see "the distant Greats" -- Olivia; Zach, Nathan, Andy, Kamryn, and Lincoln, but the love Anna and Keith had for all their great-grandchildren knew no boundaries.

After Anna's husband, Keith, died in 2014, Anna continued to live in their home in Nampa, but by 2018, she was ready to go back to Colorado to be closer to her sons and other family in the area.  In June 2020, Anna moved to Reflections, the memory care unit at Meadowview of Greeley and remained there until she was called to her Eternal Home.

Anna is survived by her children and their spouses, Keith and Candie Bothwell of Wiggins, CO, Connie and Clark Barnett of Wilder, ID, and Kevin and Karen Bothwell of Windsor; her grandchildren and their families; her brothers and their spouses, Jim and Sue Perkins and Glen and Marje Perkins, all in Colorado; her sister Lola and spouse Ben of Wisconsin; sisters-in-law, Gerry of Texas, Judy and Harold of Nevada, Linda Martin of New Mexico, and Barbara Perkins of Canada.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband Keith; her parents Jim and Lola Perkins; her sisters Louise and Fern; her brothers; Ralph, Walt, Clyde, and Harold; sisters-in-law, Geraldine, Ada, Norma, Marilyn, and Donna Perkins, Greta Bothwell; her brothers-in-law, Ray Mekelburg and Loyal Meyer, Jim and John Bothwell; nephews Clinton Perkins, Russell Mekelburg, and Jeremy Martin; nieces Joyce Overby and Rita Harper; and Jamie's dad, Miles Rogers.

Anna was a wonderful mother, a fun grandma, and a loving great grandma.  She was a remarkable woman, and her life on Earth touched many.  Anna will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and former co-workers.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan at 10:00 AM. Services will conclude at the chapel.
