Anna Lucile Fritzler, 83, died Friday, April 11, 2008 at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. She was born September 20, 1924 in Pratt, Kansas to Andrew and Alice (Boynton) Nissen. She married Paul S. Fritzler Sr. on September 2, 1943 in Pratt, KS. They farmed at Bennett for four years and then bought a farm in Deer Trail and lived there for over 30 years. They also owned and farmed land in Byers. After leaving Deer Trail they lived in Byers and Hoyt before settling in Wiggins in 1988. Anna was a member of the Pratt Methodist Church where she also taught bible study for a number of years. She was also a member of a Home Demonstration Club in Deer Trail, and the Long Meadow Women's Club in Hoyt. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, sewing, knitting, hunting, fishing and playing the piano. Survivors include two sons, Paul Fritzler of Byers and Kenneth Fritzler of Bennett; two daughters, Lucile Story of Edmonton Alberta, Canada and Marjorie Polanchek of Belfield, North Dakota; two sisters, Karen Whinney of Kansas City, Kansas and Vera Wilcox of Virginia Beach, Virginia; nine grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, one brother Lorenzo Nissen, one sister, Virginia Roush and a great granddaughter, Cera. A memorial service will be Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Tabor Baptist Church in Byers, Colorado.
