Anna Belle Knight, 85, longtime Morgan County area resident, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011. She was born August 28, 1925, to James & Minnie Mae Mitchell at Woodrow, CO. Anna Belle graduated from Loveland High School. On May 27, 1943, Anna Belle married Ralph W. Knight in Loveland. The Knight family farmed south of Brush for many years. After retiring, Ralph & Anna Belle became "snow birds" and went to Arizona for several winters. While staying in Arizona Anna Belle enjoyed playing bingo. Anna Belle loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed spending time looking at and surrounding herself with wildlife. Survivors include her 2 children, Shirley Burt of Apache Junction, AZ and Ken Knight and his wife, Dawn, of Brush; 1 brother, James Mitchell of Boise, ID; 4 grandchildren, Samantha and her fiancé, Chris Ewertz, Ashley and her husband, Jim Thomforde, Courtney Knight and Bill Burt, and 1 great granddaughter, Adilynn Thomforde. She was preceded in death by her husband, 4 sisters, and her parents. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 25, 2011, at 11:00 AM at the Abbott Church, north of Lindon, CO. Inurnment will follow in the Abbott Cemetery. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Blue Horizons c/o the mortuary. The church and cemetery are located 7 miles north, 3/4 mile west, 1/2 mile north of Lindon, CO(off Highway 36).
