Anna Venen was born on June 8th 1911. Anna was born in Cheney, Kansas. Anna married Fred Murphy in 1936. They lived on a farm in Hutchinson, Kansas and eventually moved to Fort Morgan, Colorado in 1957. Fred died June 5, 1967. Anna married Leonard Venen in the 1970's. The couple resided in Fort Morgan. They were married for 25 years. Leonard taught school and the couple developed many lasting friendships. Leonard preceded Anna in death in 1995 Anna loved playing bridge and spending time with friends and family. She was a member of The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Anna stayed in Fort Morgan until 2003 at which time she moved to the Christian Living Center in Centennial, CO. She quickly made friends, played bridge and bingo and endeared herself to everyone there. Anna was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 8 sisters one of which being her twin sister, Alma, who died at age 7. She is survived by 2 daughters, Colleen Vroom, Henderson, NV and Vickie Kearney, Centennial, CO. Stepson, Leonard Venen Jr., Mountain Valley, California and Stepdaughter, Marylen LaDuke, Hanover Park, Illinois. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday September 8th from 9-11 am. at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary. Funeral service's will follow at 1pm at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. with pastor Sherman Gordius presiding.
