ANNABELLE YEAROUS, 85, lifelong Fort Morgan resident, died Sunday evening, August 23, 2009 at the Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan. She was born January 30, 1924 in Fort Morgan to Marion & Ella (Duncan) Meekins. She married Glen U. Yearous on September 14, 1941 in Sidney, NE. Mrs. Yearous worked for Brush Livestock, Fort Morgan Middle School, and then for American Beef before her retirement. Mrs. Yearous was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan. She enjoyed crocheting. In her younger years she especially enjoyed bowling and horse racing. Survivors include her children; Guy M. Yearous of Fort Morgan, J.R. Yearous and his wife Becky of Potter, NE and Linda Stoll of Hot Springs, SD; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Mrs. Yearous was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Betty Lee Knaus, and her son, Glen A. Yearous. Visitation will be August 25th at 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 26th at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan.
