Arizona Metcalf, 93, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born August 14, 1923, in Alma, IL, to Albert & Ella Hampsten.

Arizona married Jesse O. Metcalf on June 25, 1966, in Cheyenne, WY. In 1995 the Metcalf's moved back to Brush.

One of Arizona's favorite jobs was working as a nurse's aide. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan. She & Jesse were active members of the Good Sam Travel Organization for many years. She enjoyed doing craft work.

Survivors include her children, Judy Edwards of Brush, Bill Crutchfield and his special friend, Gayla, and Glenda Canfield of Tulsa, OK; 1 brother, Richard Hampsten of Grayville, IL; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Charles Crutchfield and Clarence Crutchfield; her husband Jess; 1 granddaughter; and her parents.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 20, 2016, at 11:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday at the Heer Chapel from 3 – 5 PM. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Arizona Metcalf Memorial Fund c/o the Heer Mortuary.
