Arlene Rose Wigton was born to Leander and Madeline (Ott) Becker on November 9, 1935 in Monte Vista, Colorado. The family later moved south of Vona. Arlene went to Pleasant Valley School for seven years until Vona consolidated. She then graduated from Vona High School in 1953. After high school she attended Rockmont College for one year.

Arlene married Dean Wigton on June 19, 1954. Shortly after their marriage, they purchased a farm located south of Stratton; where they owned and operated a dairy farm. To this union, seven daughters were born. Radean Lee was born in 1955, Charlene Rose in 1956, Shirley Marie in 1959, Janell Sue in 1961, Kathy Jo in 1963, Rhea Kay in 1967, and Judy Ranee in 1970.

Arlene served her community by working in restaurants for 30 years, being a 4-H leader for many years, and playing the piano and later the organ for her church.

Arlene was at the home of Randy and Charlene Gorton south of Vona when she went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 26, 2017. Arlene accepted Christ as her savior at a young age. She strived to instill her faith in her children.

Arlene was proceeded in death by her father and mother, Leander and Madeline Becker; her father and mother-in-law, John and Florence Wigton; brother, Doug Becker; grandson, Philip John Squire; grandson-in-law, Mark Robinson.

She is survived by her husband, Dean Wigton, of 63 years; her seven daughters: Radean Lee (Allan) Mattson; Charlene Rose (Randy) Gorton; Shirley Marie (Larry) Squire; Janell Sue (Jay) Pettibone; Kathy Jo (Phillip) Erickson; Rhea Kay (Tony) Daise; Judy Ranee (Merritt) Koehn.

Also surviving are, seventeen grandchildren: Anna Lee Robinson, Bethany Kay (Justin) Cypert, Cathrine Marie (Alex) Stipe; Rodney Francis (Julie) and Bryan Dean (Molly) Gorton; Benjamin Eugene (Suzanne) Squire, Michael Kenneth Squire, Jory David (Kodi) Squire; Andrew Lynn (Jessica) and Danielle Sue Pettibone; Jacob Daniel (Sarah) Erickson, Samantha Jo (Dustin) Delgado; Kaitlyn Kay and Trevor Alan Daise; Chelsea Rae, Kayla Ann, and Chase Coltin Flynn.

Seventeen great-grand-children: Joshua and Evelyn Robinson; Madelynn, Cooper, and Jordann Gorton; Maggie and Jack Gorton; Kaiden, Kyleigh and Kalieb Squire; Katelyn Squire; Hudson and Eloise Pettibone; Dylan, Jayden, Bryson and Ashlynn Erickson.

One sister, Donna Becker and two sister-in-laws: Peggy Becker and Nadine Bailey. As well as, numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10:00am at the Church of God in Stratton, Colorado.

Honorary pallbearers are Arlene's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Final resting place is the Clairmont Cemetery in Stratton, Colorado.
