Arthur "Arty" O. Escobedo, 68, passed away early Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Brush. He was born September 19, 1943, in Saint Xavier, MT., to Ermelindo & Maria Escobedo. Arty has lived in the Morgan County area for over 30 years. Prior to ill health forcing his retirement, Arty had worked at the Brush Market and Wisdom Manufacturing in Merino. Arty enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nephews & nieces and friends. He also enjoyed gardening and working with various craft items. Survivors include his children, Rich Guiterrez of Mott, MT; Marie Guiterrez, Felix Guiterrez, and Phillip Guiterrez all of Billings, MT; Arty Escobedo Jr. of Denver and Juan Escobedo of Monte Vista, CO; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 7 Sisters & Brothers and his parents. At Arty's request, no service will be held.
