Aurora Maestas – Santistevan , 97, passed away Friday, February 20, 2009, at Valley View Villa Nursing Home in Fort Morgan. She was born April 11, 1911, in Rodarte, NM to Juan & Teresita Maestas. Prior to moving to Morgan County about 50 years ago she lived in Idaho. She was a member of the catholic church. Survivors include 4 step-children, Lee Santistevan, Adulina James, Rosa Garcia, and Lorraine Santistevan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 step-children, 8 brothers & sisters, Melesia Delgado, Solome, Cosme, Enoque, Simodosella, Margarita, Macolvia, and Ofresinia, and her parents. A private family service will be held at a later date. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush.
