"BABE" ETHEL ANGELA ARNDT, 85, died early Sunday morning, March 4, 2012 at her home in Weldona. She was born February 6, 1927 in Weldona to Americo S. & Katie (Chiara) Lorenzini. She attended schools in Weldona and graduated from high school there. On February 9, 1952, Babe married Edward Leroy Arndt. She spent her days as a homemaker and farmwife, often driving the farms trucks for Ed. Babe was a member of Saint Francis Catholic Church in Weldona and the Saint Francis Altar & Rosary Society. She especially enjoyed caring for her home, working and instilling a hard work ethic into her children and family. She is survived by her sons, David & Pamela Arndt and Mark Arndt, all of Weldona; four grandchildren and their families, Angela & Josh Sneddon and their children, Madison, Makenna, and Ty David of Weldona, Kimberlee & Eric Hanagan and their children, Mason, Emma, and Luke of Swink, CO, David & Sarah Arndt and their children, Clayton, Dillion, Austin, and Greyson of Fort Morgan, and Levi & Molly Arndt and their daughter, Peighton of Fort Mogan. Babe is also survived by her sister, Lorene Gardetto of Hillrose; and two brothers, Louis & Maxine Lorenzini of Weldona and Jack & Bettie Lorenzini of Greeley. Babe was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Donald Lorenzini; and her husband, Edward Leroy Arndt. A Rosary Vigil will be held at Saint Francis Catholic Church in Weldona on Thursday, March 8th at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Saint Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan on Friday, March 9th at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Francis Church or to the Heritage Foundation.
