Barbara J Bauer was born May 28, 1945, in Hillrose, CO, to Robert and Esther Schott. She passed away on August 29, 2025. A lifelong Morgan County resident, she attended Fort Morgan High School and later worked as a valued customer service representative for local banks, including Equitable Savings and Loan and Farmers State Bank.

Barbara was married to the love of her life, her husband, Donald Bauer. They enjoyed many fun adventures throughout their 53 years of marriage. Together they raised their two children, Marvin Bauer of Bailey, CO, and Theresa Bryant of Littleton, CO.

To anyone who would listen, she proudly bragged about her 7 grandchildren: Kortney Garcia, Derek Bauer, Bailey Flynn, Ben Bryant, Jonathan Duke, Ashley Duke, and Torie Duke; and her 7 great-grandchildren, Austin, Haylie, Hunter, Bella, Kenzley, Gavin, and Fisher.

Barbara loved fishing, family gatherings, spending time with her Sunshine Girls at dinner shows, playing Bunco, and especially caring for her family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her husband Don, her children Marvin and Theresa, and her brothers Ken Schott of Loveland and Jerry Schott of Longmont, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Thelma and Bev, and her parents, Robert and Esther Schott.

The world would be hard-pressed to find a better woman. She will be loved and missed forever.

Per her request, no funeral services will be held, and the family is requesting that no flowers be sent.
