BARBARA J. DOTY, 79, of Fort Morgan, died Wednesday afternoon, May 20, 2009 at her home in Fort Morgan after a long battle with cancer. She was born April 5, 1930 in Simla, CO to George & Esther (Winters) Repp. The family moved to Fort Morgan when she was very young. Barbara attended Fort Morgan schools and after high school she worked for Dr. Ray Tibbets and then Yates Drug Store in Fort Morgan. She married Eugene Doty on December 27, 1957 in Fort Morgan. After their marriage Barbara devoted her time to her home and yard work. Mrs. Doty was a member of Merino Faith Tabernacle. Survivors include her husband, Gene Doty of Fort Morgan; and three sisters, Lucille Helling of Wray, CO, Betty Ann Davis of Wichita Falls, KS, and Arleta Burback of Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Repp; two sisters, Joyce Long and Alice Greenfield; and her parents. A memorial service will be at Serenity Falls Columbarium on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 1:30 PM. Inurnment will follow.
