Barbara Jean (Randall) Leist passed away November 10, 2016 peacefully in her home, in Weldona, CO, after a long and brave fight against cancer.  She was born in Hamilton Iowa on August 3, 1940 to Roy and Ruby (Claude) Randall.

As a child Barbara worked on a farm near Webster City, IA with her family.  She attended Fremont High #2 also in Webster City. She met the love her life Junior Leist, in 1972 in Fort Dodge, IA.  She held many jobs throughout the years including being a factory worker, nurse's aide, cashier, waitress, and cook.  Barb as she was affectionately known, retired with her husband in Weldona, CO at Jackson Lake, where they fixed up a lakeside property. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, feeding the birds, and visiting with her neighbors. She like to pass time playing Yahtzee and cards. She and Junior also enjoyed traveling and visiting their family and many friends. Barb was a kind and caring person who will be forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Junior; two brothers Gordon and John Randall; one grandson; one granddaughter and her parents.

She is survived by her sisters, Martha (Ron) Hargrave, Donna (Blair) Sorenson and  Nancy Berry; her brothers, Melvin Randall, Gary (Phyllis) Randall and Ed Leist; her children, Charles Douglas Hubbard, Mary (Chris) Constantine, Troy (Sarah) Leist, Andy Leist, Rita Leist, and Wendy (Raymond) Miranda; grandchildren, Michelle (Tyler) Odom, Dakota Hubbard, Makala (Tom) Semke, Lee (Magenta) Pedersen, Morgan (Karl) Kembal, Ty Leist, Brittney Leist, Zoey Wroblewski, Heather Leist, Justin Leist, Jody Leist, AJ Leist, Natasha Miranda, Mercedes Miranda and Christine Miranda; 23 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends.

A memorial service will be at Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan (225 E. Platte Ave. Fort Morgan, CO 80701) on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Heer Mortuary in memory of Barbara Leist.
