Barbara Elaine Troudt, 85, longtime Morgan County resident, passed away suddenly at her son's home in New Raymer on Wednesday evening, October 28. 2020.  She was born July 29, 1935, in the front seat of a Model A Ford, in Jud, ND to Karl & Johanna Podoll.  When Barbara was in her 20's she was her Mother's full-time caregiver for 9 years.

Barbara married Norman C. Troudt Sr. on July 2, 1967, in Prospect Valley, CO.  The Troudt family has continued to farm near Wiggins since they were married.  Norman died on November 24, 2009, of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident.  Barbara has continued to keep the family farm operating with the help of her sons since that time.

Barbara was a member of the Long Meadows Club.  She loved to attend the Cowboy Bible Church in Brush.  She enjoyed baking, especially making pies,  & taking care of her chickens.  Her favorite time was spent with, and caring for, her family.  All 3 of Barbara's sons agree that the cream cheese frosting on top of her homemade angel food cake was like eating a slice of heaven!

Survivors include her 3 sons, Norman Jr. of Wiggins, Nathan, and his wife, Mary of Wiggins, and Nolan, and his wife Amy of New Raymer; 3 grandsons, Levi, Luke, and Tyler; and 2 step-granddaughters, Meghan Scott and Ashley (Jared) Garetson and 1 sister, Maryanne.  She was preceded in death by her husband, 10 siblings, Orville, Waldomor, Alfred, Harold, Delaine, Adeline, Adelete, Betty, Laurence, and Donald, and her parents.

At Barbara's request, no service will be held.  Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan.
