Barry W. Quinlin, 49, passed away suddenly on October 18, 2016. He was born October 23, 1966 in Denver to Donald & Brenda Quinlin.

The Quinlin family moved to Brush in 1980. Barry graduated from Brush High School in 1985. Barry was very involved in athletics while a student at BHS. He was a standout football player, earning a full-ride scholarship to play at CU, a two time state champion wrestler, and a state champion track runner.

On January 9 1988, Barry married Vicky Rocha in Brush. At the time of his death, Barry was Facilities Director for the Brush RE2J School District. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He loved to fish, camp, hunt, and was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed coaching his sons youth football team, and spent a decade coaching, training, and mentoring BHS Wrestlers. Barry was very driven and cared deeply about everything he was involved in, whether it be fixing things, coaching, training his athletes, cooking, or caring for his family.

Survivors include his wife, Vicky of Brush; 2 children, Aaron (Carmen) Quinlin of Brush and Camille (Brenton) Kral of Fort Morgan; his parents, Don & Brenda Quinlin of Highlands Ranch, CO; 1 brother Warren (Cheryl) Quinlin of Highlands Ranch, and his sister Kathy (Pat) Hardesty of Big Sandy, TX; and 4 grandchildren, Cael, Addison, Riggs, and Maddie. He was preceded in death by Grandparents Harley and Rosella Craig, and Great Grandparents Myrl and Goldie Quinlin.

Funeral services, with closed casket, will be at the Brush High School Gym on Monday, October 24, 2016, at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.   Visitation and Rosary service will be Sunday, October 23, at 6:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. Family prefers memorial gifts be given to the Barry Quinlin Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o the Heer Mortuary.
