Bernice M. Zwetzig, 91, lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan. Bernice was born May 1, 1924 in Hillrose, Colorado to George and Elizabeth (Wolf) Pabst. She married Robert A. Zwetzig on November 29, 1945 in Ventura, California. He died in 1983. Bernice worked as a teacher's assistant for most of her working career. She was an active member of the Shepherd of the Plains Church in Fort Morgan. Bernice enjoyed playing bridge. She was also a wonderful cook. She loved cooking German dishes for all her children and grandchildren. Survivors include, one daughter, Karen Behm (Duane) of Tempe, Arizona, daughter-in-law, Kathy Zwetzig of Fort Morgan, one sister, Ruth Yetter (Don) of Denver, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband Robert, two sons, Gary Zwetzig and Keith Zwetzig, one brother, Bill Pabst, and her parents. Memorial Services will be Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 10:30 am at the Shepherd of the Plains Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan.
