Isabelle Linstrom, 90, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6 at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush, Colo.
She was born Jan. 20, 1927 in Orwigsburg, Pa. to Claude and Berneice Gerhard and moved with her family to Deadwood, S.D. at age 2.
Isabelle graduated from Sturgis (S.D.) High School and married Paul Linstrom in 1946. She spent most of her life in South Dakota, wintering for several years in Apache Junction, Ariz. For the past three years she lived in Colorado near her daughter and family. She lived independently in an apartment, then in assisted living and for about a year in the nursing home.
Isabelle was a homemaker and a bus driver for the Evergreen School District. She loved camping and fishing and was a member of the Black Hills Hillbillies camping club and a league bowling enthusiast. She also loved traveling and loved to sew, knit, bake and crochet for all to enjoy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Gaylord.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula (John) LaPorte of Fort Morgan, Colo. and Deborah Phelps of West Melbourne, Fla., four grandchildren (Chris, Ryan, Tammy Armstrong and Tracy Emmanuel) and nine great-grandchildren.

raveside Funeral Services will be Friday, December 15, 2017 at 1:30 pm at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota.
There will be a reception following the graveside ceremonies at the Sturgis Coffee Company, 2275 Lazelle Street, Sturgis, South Dakota 57785.
