Bessie A. VanWyhe, 80, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. She was born September 16, 1927, on the family farm near Anton, CO, to Will & Wynona Rodwell. She was married to Dutch VanWyhe, and he preceded her in death. The VanWyhe's lived in Quartzsite, AZ for over 30 years. Bessie enjoyed hunting for arrowheads. She moved back to this area earlier in January to be closer to family. Survivors include her 2 brothers, Tom Rodwell of Anton, CO, and Bill Rodwell of Flagler, CO; and 1 sister, Mary Young of Colorado Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 sister, Pearl Martin, and her parents. A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will be in the Thurman Cemetery. The Heer Mortuary & Crematory is entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
