Beth Lee
Walker
Nov 24, 1933 — Oct 3, 2023
Beth Lee Walker took her last breaths at the age of 89 on October 3rd surrounded by family at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center.
Beth Lee (Townsend) Walker was born November 24th, 1933 in Stockton, Illinois to parents George "Don" & Bessie (Pepoon) Townsend. Beth had 3 younger siblings; Janet, Roberta, and Raymond. After attending a one room school in Stockton, IL, the family decided to move to Fort Morgan, CO on February 14th, 1946 due to her fathers health. She was raised on a dairy helping her father tend to the cattle and was a proud member in 4-H. Beth graduated from high school in Fort Morgan and attended Central Business school in Denver until she got a job at Farmers State Bank in Fort Morgan as a secretary. She later met Edward Walker and got married on October 9th, 1953. Together had 5 children. The family lived in various places in Morgan County farming. When the youngest son was the only one left at home, they settled on a 10-acre home west of Fort Morgan. Ed passed away in 2000 and after a few years Beth moved to Hillcrest, later to the Bee Hive, then her journey ended at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center.
Beth was a great woman. She was strong willed, kind, and tough. She never was a woman who shared her emotions but had a lot of feeling and love in her heart. She was very loving to her children and grandchildren in her own way. Beth and Ed had 11 grandchildren that they cherished and would spoil as much as they could. Beth also had 21 great grandchildren she adored. Beth enjoyed watching the Colorado Rockies, the nature channel, the game show, playing Rook, family time, puzzles, embroidery, socializing, old and new friends, pictures, collecting antiques/bears/cats, and she loved Little Ed and Ava hugs. Outside of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, Beth had one love of her life and that was Ed; the smartest thing she ever did was marry him, and after 47 years, he was her number one guy.
Beth is survived by her children Debbie Boone (Jim), Larry Walker, and Allen Walker (Kim). 11 grandchildren – Dale Goff (Rebecca), Tom Goff (Brittany), Allen Goff (Erin), Lana Redden (Jeremy), Ed Goff (Amanda), Leah Landon, Crystal Paulson (Gary), Scott Anderson, Jeff Anderson (Michelle), Kinsey Tedford (Drew), Harrison Walker, and 21 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband (Edward Walker), and daughters (Linda Williams & Shirley Anderson).
Mom, Grandma, Granny, and Friend – You will be missed and we love you!
The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contribution to Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center for the Neighbors who live there in Beth Walker's name.
