Betty A. Vondy, 62, passed away suddenly at her home near Snyder on Friday, January 21, 2011. She was born April 23, 1948, in Florida to Robert & Mary Folsom. Betty married Chuck Vondy on April 5, 1980 in Antelope Springs. They have lived in Morgan County since 1984. Betty worked as the manager of Duckwall's in Brush for many years. After the store closed, she drove a school bus for the Prairie School District. Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing needle handwork. Survivors include her husband, Chuck of Snyder; her mother, Mary Folsom of Poteau, OK; four children, Dawn Hume of Sterling, CO, Ron Weis, AC Vondy of Addison MI, and Aaron Vondy of Durham, NC; 1 brother, Joe Folsom of Salina, OK; and thirteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Mike, and her father. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January, 26, 2011 at 1:30 PM at the United Methodist Church, 1701 Edmunds Street, in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
