Betty J. DeLong, 85, life resident of Brush, passed away early Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. She was born August 2, 1929, in Brush, to Earl & Clista Watson. Betty married William M. DeLong on September 5, 1949, in Brush. She had worked as a CNA at Eben Ezer for over 35 years. Betty was a member of the All Saints Lutheran Church, and Royal Neighbors. She was an avid Denver Bronco and Colorado Rockies fan, watching most all of their games. She enjoyed reading and watching soap operas. Her favorite past time was spent with her family. Survivors include her children, William of Brighton, James of Austin, TX, Terry of Denver, John of Hillrose, Rebecca Celentano of Denver, Edward of Hendricks, OK, and Cynthia Jones of Brush; 1 sister, Patty Castrup of Brush; 21 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 daughter, Katherine; 1 grandson Anthony, 1 brother and 2 sisters, and her parents. A memorial service will be Monday, October 20, at 10:30 AM at the All Saints Lutheran Church. Inurnment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery
