Betty Mae Kolman, 88, of Brush died Sunday at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born September 7, 1921 in Brush to Roy B. and Eva Belle Rutherford. She graduated from Brush High School. She married Laudis "Oscar" Kolman on May 24, 1941 in St. Francis, KS. She devoted her entire life to being a homemaker and caregiver to her family. She loved to sew, bake, read and do jigsaw puzzles. Her special joy in life was time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Rankin Presbyterian Church in Brush. Betty is survived by her four children, Jerry Kolman of Beaverton, Oregon, Eunice Wahlert, Larry Kolman, and Kathy Wilhite, all of Brush; four sisters, Lucy Thompson, Fay Meyer, EvaLee Grosshans, and Dorothy Jayne Kniegge; one brother, Elmer Rutherford; 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Laudis, her parents, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 2-6 PM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Brush. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM at the Rankin Presbyterian Church in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
