Betty Lucille Ruder, 84, longtime area resident, died Thursday, October 22, 2009 at her daughter's home in Fort Morgan. Betty was born January 24, 1925 in Donovan, Illinois to Emil and Agnes (Bard) Albright. She was raised in the Donovan area and later moved with her parents and brother Jean to Ney, Ohio. She graduated from the Ney High School in 1942 and married Ralph J. Ruder on July 8, 1944. Betty was an avid gardener, seamstress, hunter and antique collector. Survivors include, two daughters, Vickie Lehmkuhl of Loveland, and Julie Weimer and husband Randy of Fort Morgan, three sons, John Ruder and his wife Nancy of Meeker, Mike Ruder and his wife Laureen of Grand Junction and Joe Ruder and his wife Sherry of Fort Morgan, seventeen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Jean Albright and two grandchildren, Michelle Lehmkuhl and Nicholas Ruder. There will be a visitation on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 5 until 7 pm at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Funeral Services will be Friday, October 30, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial Gifts may be made to Recreation Department at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary and Crematory in Fort Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
