Obituary

Our precious mother Betty, 94, received her angel wings Monday, January 31 and has gone home to the Lord Jesus. We are saddened by our loss but knowing she is at peace and in a wonderful place gives us comfort. She was an angel on earth, and is now an angel in heaven. She was born on December 29, 1927 in Brush to George & Emma Reich.

Mom was a beautiful, loving and kind woman who loved life. She was the proud mother of ten children, grandmother to twenty and great grandmother to twenty-four. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face even in hard times and her laugh was infectious. She was member of the Brush VFW (Past President) and member of the Platte Valley Club in Fort Morgan. Mom really enjoyed traveling to the homes of her out of state children to get spoiled. She was always ready for a game of cards and she loved playing bingo and going to the casino to play keno. She was a wonderful cook and baker, did beautiful embroidery and was a good seamstress. In her younger years she loved dancing with her husband, especially to the old German Dutch hops. Her favorite tv show was the Price is Right and other game shows, she also enjoyed a good movie. And like any good native Coloradan she loved the Denver Broncos. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her and spending time with her absolutely loved her. She is going to be sadly missed by all who loved her, she has left us with so many treasured memories we will hold in our hearts forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Spadi; parents George & Emma Reich; brothers Carl, William, Donald, and Robert Reich; sisters Dorothy (Reich) Henderson and Evelyn (Reich) Daniels; daughter-in-law Pam (James) Spadi; and son-in-law Mick Morton.

She is survived by her children, Jenay Whitney (Ed), Debbi Rodgers, (Ron), Richard Spadi (PDI Pam), Beverly Spadi, Pauline Ross, Annette Schneider (Derrel), Becky Duncan (Paul), Carla Morton (PDI Mick), Barbara James (Paul), Kenneth Spadi.
