Betty A. Yearous, 93, longtime Morgan County resident, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018, at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush.  She was born August 17, 1925, in Yuma, CO to C. L. & Isa Krout.

Betty graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1943.  On May 7, 1944, she married Kenneth Yearous in Brush.

Betty worked for several years as the bookkeeper for the Chevron Oil Distribution Center.  Her main vocation was being a Wife and Mother to her family.

Betty was a very active member of the First Christian Church until failing health issues prevented her involvement.  She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and working cross word puzzles.  Her favorite time was spent with her family.

Survivors include her children, Beverly (Bob) Bever of Brush, Barbara (Dave) Sweet of Vici, OK, Rabecca (Wayne) Shreves of Highlands Ranch, CO, and James (Betsy) Yearous of Sapulpa, OK; 2 brothers, Donald Krout of Colorado Springs, CO and Kenneth Krout of Denver, CO; 20 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 granddaughter, 4 brothers, Howard, Clifford, Richard, and Robert, 1 great grandchild, and 1 great great grandchild, and her parents.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan.  Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.  Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan or to Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush.
