Beulah Madeline Tieman (November 26, 1921 – May 22, 2007) Beulah Madeline (Boone) Tieman, 85, former Fort Morgan resident, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Castle Rock Convalescent Center in Green River, Wyoming. She was born November 26, 1921 in Boulder, Colorado, to Robert and Margaret (Kinder) Boone. The Boone family moved to Fort Morgan in 1922. Beulah attended schools in Fort Morgan and graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1939. She then went on to attend business school in Denver, Colorado and served in the WAVES during World War II. Beulah married Irvin H. Tieman on April 6, 1947 in Denver, Colorado. They made their home in Fort Morgan where Beulah owned and operated the Tot Shop children's clothing store and Irvin worked for the family business, Tieman's Grocery. Beulah began working for First National Bank of Fort Morgan in the early 1950's and left the bank in 1974 as Assistant Cashier to move to Denver. Beulah worked as a secretary for the University Church of Christ in Denver, Colorado, until they retired to Green River, Wyoming in 1989. She enjoyed Bible study, gardening, shopping and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Green River Church of Christ. Survivors include her son, Robert Tieman and his wife, Ida, of Green River, Wyoming; granddaughter, Jessica Blackwood and her husband, Tim, of Denver, Colorado; brother, Ransom Boone and his wife, Betty, of Fort Morgan, Colorado; sister-in-law, Millie Kelso of Oceanside, California; nephews, Bill Tieman of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Richard Kelso of Cardiff By The Sea, California; Ron Kelso of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Jim Boone of Fort Morgan, Colorado; nieces, Susan Alpert of Las Vegas, Nevada; Sandra Schmeeckle of Fort Morgan, Colorado; Karen Pease of Carlsbad, California; Cindy Godbey of Petersburg, Illinois; Linda Shelton of Fort Morgan, Colorado; Sandra Yearous of Otis, Colorado; and Deb Torley of Great Bend, Kansas. Beulah was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Irvin on November 25, 1992; grandson Matthew Tieman; nephews Stan Tieman and Rick Boone; niece Kay Buford and her brother-in-laws Ernest Tieman, Elmer Tieman and Ollie Kelso. Funeral services will be held May 25, 2007, at 10:00 am at the Green River Church of Christ in Green River, Wyoming. Visitation will be at the Heer and Jolliffe Mortuary in Fort Morgan, Colorado, on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 from 9 – 10 am. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Morgan is in charge of the local arrangements.
