Beverly J. Mackey, 74, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Valley View Villa Nursing Home in Fort Morgan. She was born August 12, 1938, in Winfield, KS, to Wayne & Maxine Prigmore. Beverly married Norman Mackey in Denver on June 12, 1958, and they lived in the Denver metro area for a number of years. In 1980 the Mackey's moved to Fort Morgan where they owned & operated the Park Terrace Best Western Motel and Memories Restaurant. Survivors include 2 children, Brent of Fort Morgan and Stacey Goebel and her husband, John of Loveland; 1 sister, Shirley James and her husband, Charles of Lakewood, CO; and 2 grandchildren, Shawn Goebel and his wife Krysta of Rapid City, SD and Kelly Goebel of Loveland, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, February 1, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Serenity Falls Columbarium in Fort Morgan. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan on Thursday from 5 – 7 PM. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Beverly Mackey Memorial Fund c/o the Heer Mortuary.
