Beverly Maude Wilson passed away peacefully August 15th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Bev was born December 21st, 1932, in Presho, South Dakota to Albert and Maude Kuhrt. She spent her childhood in South Dakota and Maxwell, Nebraska where she graduated from high school. After graduating, she married Roy Anderson and from this union she was blessed with two children, Kathy and Tim. The family resided in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and later moved to Kimball. Roy and Bev eventually divorced and Bev later married Richard “Dick” Wilson. Together they remained in Kimball for the rest of their lives.
In her earlier years, Bev enjoyed riding horses and belonged to the riding club in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, where she traveled often to participate in barrel racing events. Bev was an avid bowler for over 60 years. A sport she was extremely proud of; she even held various offices on the Nebraska State Bowling Association Board. In addition to bowling, Bev enjoyed playing cards with her friends, golfing, attending her grandkid’s sporting events, and following her son Tim’s car racing. Bev was a Charter Member of the Eagle’s club where she held different offices over the years. She was always involved and enjoyed being part of her community. When Bev was not busy doing these activities, she was busy in her yard tending to her lawn and flower beds or crocheting afghans. Everyone she knew had at least one!
Bev is preceded in death by her husband, Dick, brothers Bob and Albert Kuhrt, sister Joyce Baker, granddaughter Tianna Rose, and grandson in law Ray Mann. She is survived by her sister Colleen Cunningham, children Kathy (Ken) Bate and Tim (Tonya) Anderson, grandchildren Tesla Mann, Sierra Rose, Tara (Cleat) Young, and Tricia (Gray) Anderson, great grandchildren, Shalee (Bryant) Woodward, Alix (Berto) Gonzalez and Dillon (Tayla) Howton, and great-great grandchildren Bentley and Willow Woodward, along with many nieces and nephews.
Bev lived a full and active life surrounded by family, friends, laughter, hobbies, and the many people she touched along the way. She will be remembered by her strong spirit, her love of her family, her beautiful gardens, her crocheted afghans, and the countless memories she created throughout her life.
At Bev’s request there will be no public services, and she will be laid to rest in Kimball Cemetery.
