Bill Shaver, 79, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush.  He was born July 27, 1940, in Fort Morgan to William I. and Mary G. Shaver.

On March 5, 1961, Bill married Donna J. Knox in Wheatridge, CO.  Bill began working for the Irvin Knox Hay Grinding Company.  He later worked as a diesel mechanic at the Little Bandit Truck Stop and later JW Gibson Oil Service.

Bill enjoyed outdoor sports including fishing, hunting, camping and outdoor cooking.  He enjoyed visiting with friends and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Dwayne (Jollyn Ponce) Shaver and Shari (Andy) Wheeler all of Brush; and Brenda Dufresume of Greeley; 4 grandchildren, Hilary, Lynn, Shannon, and Stacey; 3 great grandchildren, Jake, Cason, and Charlee; 4 sisters, Shirley Brunkhardt and Linda Fritzler both of Fort Morgan, Carol Riley of North Platte, NE, and Patricia Shaver of Brush.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; 2 brothers, Doug and Dave; 2 sisters, Nancy and Sandy; and his parents.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 8, 2019, at 11:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush.  Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary on Thursday, November 7, from 4 – 6 PM.
