Obituary

Bill Sweet, 74, of Ft. Morgan died Saturday morning at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Ft. Morgan. He was born August 22, 1933 in Sterling, to Cunnie and Lois Sweet. He married Elsie Burenheide June 30, 1953 in Fleming. He owned his own trucking company driving in the local area. Bill enjoyed doing mechanic work on his truck, woodworking, fishing, camping, boating, making candy and fudge, and spending time with his family. A special time in his life was serving as scout master when his boys were involved in scouts. He is survived by his wife Elsie of Ft. Morgan, two daughters, Cindy Wernsman of Fleming and Suzanne Stanley of Greeley, six sons, David Sweet of Greeley, Anthony Sweet of Ft. Morgan, Joe Sweet of Fleming, Scott Sweet of Thornton, Marc Sweet of Longmont, and Chris Sweet of Evans, 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was pre ceded in death by his parents and his step father Ted Hollinger. Visitation will be held on Monday at the Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan from 2-7pm with a Rosary Vigil to begin at 7pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 am at the Saint Helena Catholic Church in Ft. Morgan, the service will conclude at the Church. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to the Altar & Rosary Society at the Saint Helena Catholic Church.
