Billy George Holloway, 84, long-time Fort Morgan resident passed away on June 25th, 2011 with his family by his side. Mr. Holloway was born February 21, 1927 in Dallas, Texas. During World War II, Mr. Holloway was a member of the United States Army and was proud to serve his country. He later married his loving wife, Eleanor, on April 4, 1951. Billy was a long-time land surveyor traveling many miles to stake oil well locations. He worked for Powers Elevation of Denver and more recently Holloway and Holloway, Inc. of Greeley. He was well-respected in the Colorado Oil and Gas Industry. In his prime, Billy enjoyed playing many sports. He had a love for golf, bowling and fast- pitch softball. If he wasn't playing sports, he enjoyed watching all of Colorado's professional sports teams either in person or in the comfort of his recliner with remote control in hand. Billy also enjoyed playing cards with his family and would never turn down a lottery scratch ticket that was given to him. Mr. Holloway also enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in many sporting events and school functions. Billy is survived by his wife, Eleanor; four daughters, Sherry Klein of Centennial, Patti (Jim) Amaya of Fort Morgan, Annette Holloway of Greeley and Denise (Randy) Jakel of Roggen and four sons, Edward (Renee`) Holloway of Greeley, David (Jeni) Holloway of Steamboat Springs, Richard (Tami) Holloway of Fort Collins and Paul (Jeannine) Holloway of Aurora and his niece, Johanna Morgan, and nephew, Michael Morgan, of Fort Worth, Texas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Billy was preceded in death by both his parents, his only sister, Josephine Morgan, and his son, Butch Holloway, of Fort Morgan.
