Robert "Bob" L. Atwood, 82, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015, at the Valley View Villa Nursing Home in Fort Morgan. He was born March 12, 1933, in Fort Morgan, to Lester & Amanda Atwood. Bob joined the US Army in 1953 and for nearly two years in active duty and then another 6 years in reserves. Following his honorable discharge, Bob worked as a truck driver Bob married Millie Grotteland on September 27, 1980, in Brush. They continued to live and work in Morgan County until they retired. Survivors include his wife, Mille, of Log Lane Village; 2 daughters, Sherri & Susan; 1 son John; 1 sister, Lois Youngblood of Fort Morgan; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 sister, 2 brothers and his parents. At Bob's request, no service will be held. Inurnment will be in the Serenity Falls Columbarium.
